About Bissula
A Place for Ideas, Stories, and Different Perspectives
Bissula is an independent online publication exploring the ideas, experiences, and stories that shape the way we see the world.
Life does not fit neatly into a single category, and neither does Bissula. We explore individual liberty, personal freedom, politics and society, beliefs, culture, human experiences, relationships, technology, fashion, and the imaginative worlds created through fiction. Some articles examine serious questions facing society. Others explore everyday life, challenge conventional thinking, tell a compelling story, or simply offer a different perspective.
What connects them is an interest in the world around us and a willingness to look beyond the obvious.
Freedom, Ideas, and Society
Freedom is an important theme throughout Bissula. Individual liberty, lifestyle choices, political freedom, and social change all raise questions about how people live, what they believe, and how much control they should have over their own lives.
Our articles examine these questions from different angles. We explore the relationship between personal choice and social expectations, the influence of politics and institutions, the role of beliefs in public life, and the changes that continue to shape modern society.
These subjects deserve more than slogans and familiar talking points. They deserve consideration, discussion, and the freedom to question accepted ideas.
Human Experiences and Everyday Life
Some of the most interesting subjects begin with ordinary people and the experiences that make us human.
Bissula explores relationships, grief, memory, identity, personal choices, unexplained encounters, and the experiences that can change how we understand ourselves and others. We also look at the practical and cultural subjects that affect everyday life, from fashion and personal expression to the ways people interact and live together.
These articles recognize that human experience is rarely simple. Different people can encounter the same situation and reach very different conclusions.
Technology and a Changing World
Technology is changing how we work, communicate, think, and understand our place in the world. Artificial intelligence, in particular, raises important questions about human creativity, responsibility, privacy, and the future.
Bissula examines these developments with an interest in both their possibilities and their consequences. New technology should be considered thoughtfully, with attention to what it offers, what it changes, and what questions remain unanswered.
Stories, Fantasy, and Imagination
Not every journey begins with a real-world question. Sometimes a story is the best way to explore freedom, ambition, conflict, loyalty, love, or the consequences of a difficult choice.
Bissula features original fiction, fantasy, and continuing stories, including the Bissula series. These imaginative works offer readers a chance to step into other worlds, meet memorable characters, and follow events that unfold beyond the boundaries of everyday life.
Our storytelling also extends into historical subjects, legends, and the people whose lives continue to capture our attention. Fact-based historical articles and imaginative interpretations each have their place, with the distinction between history and fiction kept clear.
Why Bissula?
The world is full of information, opinions, arguments, and stories. Bissula brings a variety of subjects together in one place because curiosity does not stop at the edge of a category.
You may arrive looking for an article about freedom or politics and leave having discovered a story about human experience, an exploration of artificial intelligence, a fashion discussion, or a new work of fiction.
We want Bissula to be a place where readers can discover something unexpected, consider another point of view, enjoy a good story, and make up their own minds.
Read widely. Think independently. Stay curious.
